Paris with Violaine & Jérémy

Experience Paris through the eyes local artists Jérémy Schneider and Violaine Orsoni (@violaineetjeremy). The duo from graphic arts and illustration studio Violaine and Jeremy take us on a tour of their favourite art space, cinema, store and restaurants. It starts with crepes!

Gigi Crêperie

We are very into French galettes (buckwheat crepes). But it’s important to know the good restaurants that make the good crepe batter because it makes all the difference. That’s why Gigi Crêperie is one of our favourite spots. You can find us there once a week at least.

Cinema MK2 Bibliothèque

Paris is one of the cities in the world where you can find a lot of cinemas. This cinema is located in a modern part of the city. You won’t find any old buildings there. No tourists either.

We love this place because it’s located just next to the Bibliothèque National de France. This place is huge and these kinds of massive spaces are very unusual in Paris. When you place yourself in the middle of the 4 buildings and look up, it almost makes you dizzy because of the vastness of the place. We love it because it makes us feel free and at the same time completely overwhelmed by the space.

And you have food trucks with nice food just in front of it to have a snack while enjoying a  movie.

Arts Factory

We are very into contemporary illustration that’s why we absolutely love Arts Factory. It’s an art gallery dedicated to the French illustration scene. It’s great. Just go, you will want to buy everything.

Tom Greyhound

We love fashion, it’s always a pleasure for us to dress well. We love the Tom Greyhound store. It’s expensive but the selection is very precise and refined.

Le Grand Bain

It’s a new restaurant we love to go to. Natural wine, super high quality cuisine and products. The very new French cuisine. And the atmosphere is nice. It’s loud and alive, but definitely not a vegan nor a veggie place.
