Edinburgh with Porteous’ Studio

Porteous’ Studio is a minimal Edinburgh holiday home curated by Eilidh Izat and Jack Arundell who, together form Izat Arundell.

Jack and Eilidh are a creative and inspiring young couple who share an appreciation of quiet, considered architecture, craft and food. They enjoy discovering beautiful places in Scotland and around the world and it was this simple idea which inspired them to create a holiday retreat and creative space in their home town of Edinburgh.

Porteous’ Studio is our first project working together and the beginning of a small design practice, Izat Arundell. Which encompasses architecture, craft and food. Although Porteous’ Studio will mainly be used as a residential space, we are planning a series of small events and supper clubs throughout the coming year to explore these ideas and to share the studio with fellow designers, craftspeople and thinkers.’

We were lucky enough to travel to Edinburgh for a weekend trip guided by Eilidh and Jack for our creators travel series. Here Jack share’s their favourite things to do in Edinburgh.

My escape from the city.

Timberyard

Refined and restrained food and wine, our place to celebrate.
